Tawas Area entered their tilt with Oscoda on Thursday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They blew past the Owls 11-2. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Mason Michalski tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Aidan Smith was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Easton Plank, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Tawas Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.

Tawas Area's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Oscoda, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

Coincidentally, Tawas Area and Oscoda will both be playing Heston Academy the next time they take the field. The Braves will head out to face the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Owls will host them at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
