Baseball Recap: 21st Century Charter Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when 21st Century Charter faced off against East Chicago Central on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Cardinals, falling 13-3. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 23-13 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jordan Jackson and Greer Adams did some serious damage despite the final result: Jackson went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Adams went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for 21st Century Charter and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for East Chicago Central, their record is now 3-5.

Coming up, 21st Century Charter will venture away from home to square off against Hammond Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Chicago Central, they will challenge Gary West Side at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
