Basketball Game Preview: Kenton Wildcats vs. Allen East Mustangs

The Kenton Wildcats will face off against the Allen East Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Kenton has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since November 30.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-37, which was the final score in Kenton's tilt against Wapakoneta on Friday.

Meanwhile, Allen East hadn't done well against Lincolnview recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Allen East pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over Lincolnview. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one point.

Allen East has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one points across that stretch. As for Kenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.

Kenton beat Allen East 68-59 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Kenton repeat their success, or does Allen East have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
