Preview: Taylor Wildcats vs. Redeemer Christian Lions

After five games on the road, Taylor is heading back home. They will take on the Redeemer Christian Lions at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Taylor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.

Last Wednesday, Taylor suffered a rough 44-20 loss at the hands of Halifax Academy.

Meanwhile, Redeemer Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against First Academy on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 36-32 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Redeemer Christian.

Redeemer Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Laramie Butler out in front who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Selena Martin, who scored four points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Taylor bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Redeemer Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Taylor took a serious blow against Redeemer Christian in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 46-7. Will Taylor have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get analysis of the match and other basketball content.
