Softball Recap: Westerville South Falls Short of Watkins Memorial in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Westerville South can now relate to. They lost 12-2 to the Watkins Memorial Warriors on Wednesday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Westerville South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maci Minister, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Westerville South's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Watkins Memorial, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-10.

Westerville South does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Watkins Memorial, they will challenge Westerville Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
