Basketball Recap: Eric Dailey Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lakeland

There's no place like home for Discovery, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the Lakeland Dreadnaughts on Tuesday. This was payback for the Spartans, who suffered an 86-50 loss the last time these two teams met.

Discovery's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Dailey, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The dominant performance gave Dailey a new career-high in steals. Darius Livingston was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Discovery has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Lakeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Discovery will face off against Avon Park at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Avon Park will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Discovery surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakeland, they will challenge Wesley Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Lakeland's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
