Basketball Recap: Claire Irving's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cromwell over Virginia

If Cromwell was feeling good fresh off their 66-42 takedown of Ely on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cardinals came up short against the Virginia Blue Devils on Tuesday, falling 61-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cardinals have suffered since November 26, 2024.

Cromwell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Claire Irving, who posted ten points. Remington Olesiak was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Cromwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
