Preview: Davie War Eagles vs. East Forsyth Eagles

Davie has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Davie's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.

Even though West Forsyth scored an imposing 71 points on Tuesday, Davie still came out on top. Davie took their matchup against West Forsyth 78-71.

Davie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Mickey, who scored 25 points. Mickey continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jackson Powers, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, even though Reagan scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, East Forsyth still came out on top. East Forsyth escaped with a win against Reagan by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59.

Davie pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for East Forsyth, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Davie didn't have too much breathing room in their match against East Forsyth when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 74-69 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Davie since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
