Volleyball Recap: Meigs Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nelsonville-York on Thursday, Meigs came back down to earth. The Marauders lost 3-0 to the Gallia Academy Blue Devils on Monday. The Marauders have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

While Meigs was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-13.

Kyleigh Kranyik paced Meigs' offense, picking up five kills. Kranyik got some help from Jordin Davenport and her ten assists.

Meigs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Gallia Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Meigs has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against River Valley on the 7th. As for Gallia Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Chesapeake on the 7th.
