With that strong performance, Kneifl is now averaging an impressive 148 rushing yards per game. Another back making a difference was Trevor Trimble, who gained 135 total yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Pender was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 487 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laurel-Concord-Coleridge only gained 310.

Meanwhile, Clarkson/Leigh came up short against Howells-Dodge on Friday, falling 36-12. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Jaguars recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jeryn Struebing, who rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 60 yards. Clarkson/Leigh also got a significant boost from Tucker Matthies, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.

The victory got Pender back to even at 1-1. As for Clarkson/Leigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Pender came up short against Clarkson/Leigh when the teams last played back in September of 2023, falling 36-29. Thankfully for Pender, Dylan Higby (who rushed for 241 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
