With a playoff win on the line, Village rose to the challenge on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Stargate School Eagles as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Mountaineers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Norah Hollis paced Village's offense, picking up 19 kills. Hollis got some help from Addison Miller and her 35 assists. Alyssa Simmons controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Village's win bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Stargate School, they moved to 23-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.
Village wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Forge Christian on the 13th. As for Stargate School, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Bayfield on the 14th.
