Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Orland couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Gridley Bulldogs by a score of 18-15 on Saturday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Orland lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Luke Schager, who rushed for 104 yards, and also threw for 125 yards and one TD on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards.
