Volleyball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. Kennedy Commanders + How To Watch

The Alameda Pirates will venture away from home to face off against the Kennedy Commanders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Alameda has struggled recently with 14 losses in a row, while Kennedy will arrive with three straight victories.

Alameda came up short against Arrupe Jesuit on Saturday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Kennedy made easy work of DSST: Cedar on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Alameda's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.

Everything went Alameda's way against Kennedy in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Alameda made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
