Softball Game Preview: Winn Mavericks vs. Jay Mustangs

The Winn Mavericks will take on the Jay Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Winn and five for Jay.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Winn's offense. They came up short against Southwest on Tuesday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, Jay scored first but ultimately less than Harlandale in their game on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 14-13. Even though they lost, the Mustangs' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Audrey Rosas led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Erises Tarin, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Jay's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Winn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
