Basketball Recap: Weld Central Falls to Montrose in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Weld Central kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Montrose Red Hawks, falling 59-36. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Weld Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elias Casillas, who posted nine points.

CJ Rocco was a one-man wrecking crew For Montrose. as he went 6-for-15 en route to 14 points along with eight steals and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Cache Oberg, who earned 13 points and eight boards.
