Basketball Recap: Fairwinds Christian Takes a Loss

Fairwinds Christian lost against Chestertown Christian Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Knights took a blow against the Patriots, falling 51-21. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-7.

Matt Diaz was Fairwinds Christian's leading scorer, having posted 12 points. Diaz also led the team in rebounds with seven.

Chestertown Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Micah Baugher out in front who posted nine points. Josh Frain was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Fairwinds Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Fairwinds Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Delaware Valley Classical at 5:15 p.m. on the 16th. As for Chestertown Christian Academy, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Aquinas Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
