Soccer Recap: Coalinga Comes Up Short

Coalinga managed to keep up with Dos Palos until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Coalinga Horned Toads lost 4-0 to the Dos Palos Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Horned Toads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 773rd, while the Broncos are ranked 205th).

Coalinga dropped their record down to 10-10-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Dos Palos, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Avenal the next time they take the pitch. Dos Palos will head out to face Avenal at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Coalinga will host them at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st.
