Football Recap: Paulsboro Falls Short of Schalick in the Playoffs

Paulsboro and Schalick squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Paulsboro had to settle for second. They took a 35-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 6-0.

Despite the loss, Paulsboro still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Carr, who rushed for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one TD. Carr's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

Paulsboro's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Schalick, they pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Paulsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schalick, they will square off against Glassboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
