Soccer Game Preview: Huntsville vs. College Station

The Huntsville Hornets will challenge the College Station Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Huntsville's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Huntsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They fell just short of Lake Creek by a score of 5-4 on Friday. Raul Hernandez is probably feeling rather frustrated with he team right now: they lost despite he posting three goals.

Meanwhile, College Station unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Montgomery by a score of 1-0. The Cougars were red-hot offensively headed into the match (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior) but the Bears' defense proved too tough.

College Station's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Huntsville, they dropped their record down to 1-6-2 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Huntsville came out on top in a nail-biter against College Station in their previous meeting back in March of 2016, sneaking past 1-0. Will Huntsville repeat their success, or does College Station have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
