Baseball Recap: Dadeville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Kate Duncan Smith DAR on Friday, Dadeville came back down to earth. The Dadeville Tigers lost 11-3 to the Guntersville Wildcats on Saturday.

Cale Hanks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Dadeville is 2-1 when Hanks posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Burns, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Dadeville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. The win (which was Guntersville's sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. As for Guntersville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ramsay at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
