Basketball Game Preview: Veritas Christian Academy Warriors vs. UR Academy Lions

The Veritas Christian Academy Warriors will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the UR Academy Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Veritas Christian Academy will be strutting in after a win while UR Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Veritas Christian Academy is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Varsity Opponent. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Varsity Opponent 67-18. The victory was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on 17 straight dating back to last season.

Kendall Burroughs had an outrageously good game as she went 10-for-16 on her way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emma Stover, who posted seven points in addition to six rebounds and six steals.

Veritas Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, UR Academy lost 52-29 to Covenant Classical on Thursday.
