Baseball Recap: 11 Straight Home Wins for Venice

Venice had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Chatsworth Chancellors on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Gondoliers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Canon King was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.

Venice's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 27-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Chatsworth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15-1 record this season.

Venice will face off against Sylmar at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Gondoliers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Chatsworth does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
