Volleyball Recap: St. Edward Eagles vs. St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish
St. Edward hadn't done well against St. Vincent-St. Mary recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Irish, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
St. Edward took St. Vincent-St. Mary into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-15, 25-21, 25-27, 15-11.
Jabari Babb paced St. Edward's offense, picking up 12 kills. Babb got some help from Michael Gall and his 19 assists. Finally, Luke Potts kept St. Edward's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
