Football Recap: Tanner Kyllo Leads Arlington's Defense on Friday

The third road matchup was the charm for Arlington, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They enjoyed a cozy 30-14 win over the North Bend Central Tigers on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Arlington had a senior duo take command as Ben Flesner rushed for 119 yards and a pair of scores and Oliver Ladehoff rushed for 159 yards while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Ladehoff is becoming a predictor of the Eagles' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

Arlington's run defense was locked in: North Bend Central could only muster 3.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Parker Robinson for the heroic effort on defense: he. Arlington is a perfect 3-0 when they shut down the run game so well.

Arlington's defense didn't let Drew Sterup, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for five sacks. Tanner Kyllo was especially locked on to North Bend Central's QB and sacked him twice.

When it comes to explaining why North Bend Central lost, don't look at Sterup. Despite the final result, he threw for 281 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 51 yards. The Tigers' leading receiver Braxton Chvatal was Sterup's top target yet again, picking up 147 receiving yards.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2. As for North Bend Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
