Basketball Game Preview: Twiggs Academy Trojans vs. Central Georgia Arts

The Twiggs Academy Trojans will take on Central Georgia Arts in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 14 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Twiggs Academy and 18 for Central Georgia Arts dating back to last season.

Twiggs Academy came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point defeat on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Crisp Academy by a score of 45-43 on Friday. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 10-4 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Central Georgia Arts lost 61-41 to Skipstone Academy on Tuesday.

Central Georgia Arts' loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Twiggs Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Twiggs Academy skirted past Central Georgia Arts 64-61 in their previous matchup back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Twiggs Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
