Baseball Recap: Foothill Starts Season with Win at Home

Foothill took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Everything went their way against Fairfield as Foothill made off with an 8-0 victory.

Take Sato-Kreis looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dylan Souza, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Ryan Wescott was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Foothill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fairfield only posted a batting average of .227.
