Baseball Recap: Clarksburg Takes a Loss

Clarksburg lost against Greenfield back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets lost 18-3 to the Yellowjackets. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by exactly 15 runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Clarksburg and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Greenfield, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarksburg will square off against Liberty Tech Magnet at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets are facing the Crusaders at the right time seeing as the Crusaders are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Greenfield, they will face off against South Fulton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 2.7, the Red Devils 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
