Soccer Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Georgetown was not quite Blanchester's equal in the second half on Friday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Blanchester this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-1 back in September.

Georgetown has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season. As for Blanchester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4-2.

Looking ahead, Georgetown will head out on the road to challenge Clark Montessori at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Blanchester, they will welcome Wilmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Blanchester will be up against Wilmington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.92 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
