Baseball Recap: Mayfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Livingston Central on Thursday, Mayfield came back down to earth. The Cardinals came up short against the Hickman County Falcons on Friday, falling 17-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost nine in a row.

Mayfield's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Hickman County, their record is now 7-1-1.

Looking ahead, Mayfield will face off against Ohio County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hickman County, they will take on Clinton County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
