Brighton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Highland Rams as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bengals also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Brighton got a great performance from Josh Mawhinney as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Mawhinney has posted since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, Jack Saba was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three RBI. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Riley Brown was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Brighton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highland only posted an OBP of .357.

Brighton pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Highland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Brighton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rams: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
