Vanguard won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They suffered a tough 14-3 loss at the hands of the Dunnellon Tigers. Vanguard was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Dunnellon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played two weeks ago.
Vanguard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Volker, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
