Soccer Game Preview: Shelby County vs. Helena

The Shelby County Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Helena Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Shelby County is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 goals two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Indian Springs on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Student. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Wildcats were already down 5-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Helena). Everything went their way against Chilton County on Tuesday as Helena made off with a 6-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Helena now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Shelby County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Shelby County might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Helena in their previous matchup back in February of 2018. Can Shelby County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
