Baseball Game Preview: Scotts Hill Lions vs. South Gibson Hornets

Scotts Hill is 1-7 against South Gibson since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Scotts Hill Lions will welcome the South Gibson Hornets at 2:00 p.m.

Scotts Hill is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Chester County, falling 9-0.

Scotts Hill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cy Maness, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, South Gibson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Hardin County a 4-0 shutout. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Scotts Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Gibson, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
