Basketball Recap: Oak Hill's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Saturday

Oak Hill won the last time they faced Madison-Grant and things went their way on Saturday too. The Oak Hill Golden Eagles walked away with a 59-46 victory over the Madison-Grant Argylls. Given the Golden Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Argylls are ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oak Hill is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Madison-Grant, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Hill will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Peru at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. As for Madison-Grant, they will challenge Cowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Madison-Grant has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
