Football Recap: Lucca Lovera and Canon Hunter Lead the Defense for Grapevine Faith Christian Win

Grapevine Faith Christian extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jacob Montes. Grapevine Faith Christian claimed a resounding 56-7 win over Trinity Christian thanks in part to Montes, who picked up 181 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also rushed for 69 yards and one TD. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.

Grapevine Faith Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lucca Lovera and Canon Hunter. Grapevine Faith Christian received some extra help from Walker Little, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Grapevine Faith Christian's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Trinity Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
