Basketball Recap: Washington Catholic Comes Up Short

Washington Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by the South Knox Spartans 104-9. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Spartans are ranked ninth).

Washington Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for South Knox, they pushed their record up to 18-2 with the win, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Washington Catholic and Evansville Bosse will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for South Knox, they are taking a road trip to square off against Shoals at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
