Volleyball Recap: Cedar Grove Comes Up Short

Cedar Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Morrow Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2021.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-11.

Morrow found their leader in freshman Emily Hernandez, who had ten aces. Those ten aces set a new season-high mark for Hernandez.

Cedar Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-22. As for Morrow, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 16-12.

Looking ahead, Cedar Grove will challenge Heritage at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Morrow, they will take on Lovejoy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
