Baseball Game Preview: Houston Academy Raiders vs. Providence Christian Eagles

The Houston Academy Raiders will square off against the Providence Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Houston Academy came up short against Long and fell 12-9. The Raiders have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Harrison Milanowski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Trey Bradley was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Providence Christian gave up the first runs last Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They won by a run and slipped past Pike Liberal Arts 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Tyler Sharp was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Providence Christian pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Houston Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Houston Academy suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Providence Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Houston Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
