Baseball Game Preview: Bentonville West Wolverines vs. Rogers Heritage War Eagles

Bentonville West hasn't had much luck against Rogers Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wolverines will head out to square off against the War Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Bentonville West will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Bentonville West is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Springdale with a sharp 15-6 win on Tuesday. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Jeremiah Jones was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harris Vinson, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Bentonville West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Rogers Heritage's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They fell just short of Lafayette by a score of 5-3.

Bentonville West's record now sits at 5-7. As for Rogers Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Bentonville West suffered a grim 15-8 defeat to Rogers Heritage in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
