Volleyball Recap: Fountain Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Addenbrooke Classical Academy Mustangs. The Danes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Fountain Valley started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-20.

Keira Llewelyn paced Fountain Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Llewelyn were helped by Olivia Nunez-Alley and Kylin McKessy, who contributed nine assists each. Finally, Tenzin Choedon kept Fountain Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.

Fountain Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Fountain Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Cripple Creek-Victor on the 18th. As for Addenbrooke Classical Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Two Roads Charter School on the 21st.
