It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gibsonburg had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Margaretta Polar Bears 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Golden Bears, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Gibsonburg pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Margaretta, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-18.

Looking ahead, Gibsonburg will square off against Evergreen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Margaretta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
