Basketball Recap: Tabernacle's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tabernacle came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 47-43 victory over the Cornerstone Christian Eagles. This was payback for the Torches, who suffered a 35-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tamia Ballard, who posted 12 points and six steals. Ballard is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lila Laney, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Tabernacle is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

Tabernacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-39 win against Providence Classical on the 23rd. Cornerstone Christian has also already played their next matchup, a 58-53 defeat against Unity Christian on the 25th.
