Recap: Rampart Rams vs. Canon City Tigers
After losing to the Canon City Tigers the last time they met, the Rampart Rams decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Rampart walked away with a 48-39 victory over Canon City on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rampart.
Adeel Johnson El was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points along with 6 blocks. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Kirch, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds.
Rampart now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Canon City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rampart will face off against Eaglecrest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Eaglecrest's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Canon City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pueblo West at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th.
