Baseball Recap: Shorecrest Scots vs. Shorewood Stormrays
Shorecrest extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6-1. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Shorewood Stormrays. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Stormrays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-5 on Thursday.
As for Shorewood, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games.
For Shorewood's part, Lukas Wanke made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Shorecrest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Glacier Peak on the 6th. As for Shorewood, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-2 win against Archbishop Murphy on the 6th.
