Softball Recap: Carrollton Extends Winning Streak to Three

Carrollton put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the David Anderson Blue Devils by a score of 12-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 on Saturday.

Reagan Schneiders made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Marleigh Osolin, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juliaunna Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Carrollton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as David Anderson only posted a batting average of .238.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for David Anderson, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrollton will venture away from home to take on Indian Creek at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for David Anderson, they will take on Southern at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be David Anderson's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
