Pine City came into Tuesday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Ogilvie Lions on Tuesday. The Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 29-27.

Taylor Tollefson paced Pine City's offense, picking up 29 kills. Tollefson got some help from Taylar Hejny and her 41 assists. Tollefson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Pine City's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Ogilvie, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.

Pine City and Ogilvie could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Dragons (ranked 323rd) will meet Rush City (ranked 80th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ogilvie will square off against Crosby-Ironton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (263 vs. 122).
