Basketball Recap: Byne Christian Saints vs. Community Christian Academy Eagles
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Byne Christian). They strolled past the Community Christian Academy Eagles with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 75-58. For the Saints, this counts as revenge for the 67-63 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.
Byne Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Howard out in front who went 9-for-14 en route to 23 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Will Skelley, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Community Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Kylin McDonald, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards. McDonald is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down nine or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Thomas Hadley was another key player, putting up ten points and six boards.
