Volleyball Recap: University Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact University can now relate to. They came up short against the Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders on Saturday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Olivia Kim paced University's offense, picking up seven kills. Kim got some help from Nyla Blanding and her 22 assists. Finally, Brooke Henderson kept University's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

University moved to 12-17 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

University does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Covenant Christian on the 18th.
