Basketball Recap: Rauner Falls to Wells in First Game of Season

Rauner had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They had to suffer through a 72-23 loss at the hands of the Wells Raiders. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Among those leading the charge was Cornell Barrow, who posted 19 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen McKissack, who scored 13 points.

Looking ahead, Rauner will take on Noble Street College Prep in a tournament on Wednesday. As for Wells, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Wolcott College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
