Everything went John Paul II's way against Battery Creek on Saturday as John Paul II made off with a 56-30 win. With that victory, John Paul II brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Brady Mahoney was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Cayce Graves was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Battery Creek, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
John Paul II will head out on the road to face off against Palmetto Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Palmetto Christian Academy is ranked 67th, while John Paul II is ranked 59th). As for Battery Creek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Whale Branch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
